Risk Settings

These settings will be enforced by the paper trading system.

Maximum percentage of the portfolio that can be held in one position.
Maximum dollar value allowed for a single trade.
Maximum loss allowed during one trading day.
Target percentage below the entry price for a future automated stop-loss system.

How MyTrader Will Use These Limits

Maximum Position: MyTrader will prevent adding to a position when the resulting position would exceed the allowed percentage of the portfolio.

Maximum Trade: MyTrader will prevent a single BUY order from exceeding the configured percentage of the portfolio.

Maximum Daily Loss: MyTrader will stop allowing new trades when the daily loss reaches the configured limit.

Stop Loss: This setting will later be used by the automated trading engine to determine when a position should be considered for an automatic protective sell.

Existing positions will not be automatically liquidated merely because you lower a risk setting. The restriction will apply to new trades and additional purchases.
